## ReplyPen and eesel side by side

Checked against eesel's own pages on 2026-09-30. Numbers in brackets point to the sources below.

### Where it works

- ReplyPen: In your own Gmail or Outlook. No helpdesk needed.
- eesel: Inside your helpdesk, such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Gorgias, Help Scout or Front [1]

### A plain Gmail or Outlook inbox

- ReplyPen: Connect Gmail or Outlook, including a shared address like support@, and every customer email gets a Draft
- eesel: A Gmail integration drafts or sends replies in one Google mailbox. It is not self-serve yet and needs an automation before it starts. [2]

### Who answers the customer

- ReplyPen: You send each Draft. Auto-send for kinds of email you choose is planned for a later version.
- eesel: Draft replies or internal notes for your team to review, or replies straight to the customer [1]

### Where the facts come from

- ReplyPen: Your help center, your website and the replies you sent before
- eesel: Your website, Google Drive, Notion, Confluence and files you upload [3]

### Showing what it used

- ReplyPen: A Check note under every Draft lists the help articles, website pages and past emails it used
- eesel: Says every answer links back to the source it came from [3]

### Learning from you

- ReplyPen: Learns from the edits you make before sending and keeps a Knowledge log you can read and correct
- eesel: Corrections you give in its chat are written into plain-language instructions you can edit [4]

### Price

- ReplyPen: €0.25 per conversation at launch. No monthly minimum, no tiers.
- eesel: From $299 a month for 500 credits (a ticket is one credit) to $1,899 for 5,000. Unused credits reset each month; extra credits cost $0.80. [5]

## Who should choose which

### Choose eesel if

- Your team already works in a helpdesk such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom or Gorgias and wants AI inside it.
- You want AI to answer routine tickets on its own, with the option to review drafts or notes first.
- You want to steer it with plain-language instructions you can read and edit.

### Choose ReplyPen if

- You answer customer email from Gmail or Outlook and do not want a helpdesk.
- You want a Draft for every customer email without setting up automations first.
- Your volume is modest or uneven, and you would rather pay per conversation than a monthly bundle that resets.
- You want it to learn from the edits you make in your inbox.

## What does eesel do well?

eesel works inside the helpdesk a support team already uses, from Zendesk and Freshdesk to Intercom,
Gorgias, Help Scout and Front, so its replies and notes land on the ticket itself. It learns from
your website and documents, links answers to their sources, and lets each action run on its own or
wait for a person. Corrections you give it become plain-language instructions you can read and edit,
and there are no per-seat fees.

## How do eesel and ReplyPen prices compare?

eesel sells monthly credit bundles: its pricing page lists $299 for 500 credits up to $1,899 for
5,000, where a ticket or chat is one credit. Unused credits reset each month, and extra credits cost
$0.80. ReplyPen charges €0.25 for each conversation in which you use its Draft, and nothing for the rest.

For 100 customer conversations a month, ReplyPen costs €25 and eesel's smallest paid plan costs $299.
At 1,000 a month, ReplyPen costs €250 and eesel's 1,000 credit plan $499. See
[ReplyPen pricing](https://replypen.com/pricing.md).

## Do you need a helpdesk to use ReplyPen?

No. ReplyPen connects to the Gmail or Outlook mailbox you already answer from, including a shared
address like support@, and puts a Draft in the thread of each customer email. The
[Check note](https://replypen.com/product/inbox#what-is-in-a-check-note) under the Draft lists what it used, and you
send the reply from your own inbox, on your computer or your phone.
