# ReplyPen vs Superhuman for customer email

Superhuman is a fast email app for Gmail and Outlook, and its Business plan adds Auto Drafts: a draft for every email that needs a reply, in the style you use with each person. ReplyPen is built for customer email: a Draft in your existing Gmail or Outlook thread, based on your help center, website and past replies, with a Check note showing what it used. Superhuman charges per member per month; ReplyPen charges €0.25 per conversation at launch.

## ReplyPen and Superhuman side by side

Checked against Superhuman's own pages on 2026-09-30. Numbers in brackets point to the sources below.

### Where you work

- ReplyPen: Your existing Gmail or Outlook. Drafts are added to your threads, no new app.
- Superhuman: The Superhuman Mail app on top of your Gmail or Outlook account, or a version that works inside Gmail or Outlook [1, 2]

### Drafts before you open the email

- ReplyPen: A Draft for every customer email, with every feature included
- Superhuman: Auto Drafts writes a draft for every message that needs a reply, on the Business and Enterprise plans [3, 4]

### Where the facts come from

- ReplyPen: Your help center, your website and the replies you sent before
- Superhuman: Your inbox, your calendar and the web, plus files and links you add to its Knowledge Base [3, 5]

### Learning your style

- ReplyPen: A Tone profile from your past replies, and a Knowledge log of what it learned from your edits that you can read and correct
- Superhuman: Matches the tone, length and structure of the emails you sent to each person [3]

### Shared support inboxes

- ReplyPen: Built to connect a shared address like support@, where everyone sees the Drafts
- Superhuman: Its own guidance favours individual inboxes with shared conversations and comments over a shared mailbox [6]

### Sending

- ReplyPen: Draft-only today. You send every Draft. Auto-send for kinds of email you choose is planned for a later version.
- Superhuman: Can send fully written emails on your behalf if you want it to [1]

### Price

- ReplyPen: €0.25 per conversation at launch. No seats, no tiers.
- Superhuman: Mail Business, which includes Auto Drafts, listed at $33 per member per month billed annually. Starter at $25. [4]

## Who should choose which

### Choose Superhuman if

- You want a fast, keyboard-driven email app for your own busy inbox.
- Your team works from individual inboxes and wants shared conversations, comments and team snippets.
- You want Ask AI to find answers across your inbox, calendar and the web.
- You need enterprise controls such as single sign-on on its Enterprise plan.

### Choose ReplyPen if

- Customers write to a shared address like support@ and several people answer from it.
- You want Gmail or Outlook to stay exactly as it is, and pay per conversation instead of per member.
- Your answers live in a help center and on your website, and you want each Draft to show what it used.
- You want what it learned from your edits written down where you can read and fix it.

## What does Superhuman do well?

Superhuman built its name on speed: a keyboard-driven email app for Gmail and Outlook on desktop, web
and phone. Its Business plan adds Auto Drafts, which writes a reply for every message that needs one
using your inbox, calendar and the web, in the tone you use with each person. Ask AI searches across
your email and calendar, and a Knowledge Base takes files and links. For someone whose own inbox runs
their day, it is a polished package.

## How do Superhuman and ReplyPen prices compare?

Superhuman charges per member per month: its plans page lists Business, the plan with Auto Drafts, at
$33 per member billed annually, and Starter at $25. ReplyPen charges €0.25 for each conversation in which you use its Draft, and nothing for the rest, with every feature included.

One Superhuman Business seat costs about the same as 132 ReplyPen conversations a month, before
currency conversion. For a support@ address that three people answer from, a per-member price counts
each of them; a per-conversation price counts the customer emails. See [ReplyPen pricing](https://replypen.com/pricing.md).

## Where does ReplyPen differ for customer email?

ReplyPen starts from your customer's question and the answers you already published. It reads your
help center, your website and the replies you sent before, and each Draft comes with a
[Check note](https://replypen.com/product/inbox#what-is-in-a-check-note) listing the pages and past emails it used. It
connects a shared address like support@ directly and leaves your email app alone, so a team keeps
working in Gmail or Outlook, or in Superhuman, with the Drafts already in place.

## Questions

**Can I read ReplyPen Drafts in Superhuman?**

Superhuman's changelog says drafts written in Gmail or Outlook, including by AI tools, show up in Superhuman Mail for you to review and send. ReplyPen Drafts are ordinary Gmail or Outlook drafts, so you can keep reading your email in Superhuman.

**Does Superhuman use a help center?**

Its Knowledge Base on the Business and Enterprise plans takes files and links, and Superhuman suggests adding help center links. ReplyPen reads your help center and website from the start, and every Draft's Check note lists the pages it used.
