The Check note answers the first question anyone has about an AI-written reply: where did this come from? It is ReplyPen’s form of showing its homework.
Why it matters
A reply can read well and still be wrong. Knowing which sources a Draft used tells you what to check: the policy in a help article, the price on a website page, or whether the answer matches what you told the last customer. Because it shows what the Draft looked at, you can also see before sending when your sources did not cover the question.
A Check note does not mean the answer is right. It makes your judgement faster.
An example
For a customer asking to change a delivery address, the Check note could read:
- Help article: Changing an order after checkout
- Website: Shipping and returns page, redirects
- Past email: your reply to a similar question on 12 Aug
